Just 2000 seals to get the new mythic, can’t complain. I think the troop has potential, in the right team.

Yeah, I sloooowly am getting used to him. He needs to be in the correct team and putting him against anyone who drains is a huge error, but he does have his good sides. He’s a very situational troop, though, but can save you if used against the right opponents.
My experiences:
- He will do pretty shoddy damage and is best used to pick off weakened enemies anyway, so don’t use him as a damage dealer. He is way more effective in teams where the rest needs low Mana to cast spells - it lowers VoO damage, but that was never high to begin with.
- He needs an exploder, the faster that one fills the better. Looking at Ragnagord here. Definitely not Worldbreaker. Didn’t test with TDS; Fizzbang should work but she’s not a true exploder. Carnex might be okay. I only tested Ragnagord and Worldbreaker so far.
- He does somehow semi-work with Ysabelle in combination. Khorvash/Ragnagord/Ysabelle/Voice is very deadly (far deadlier than Korvash/Valk/Ysa/Mab, which I used until now) against everything that doesn’t drain since you will have basically always have at least one troop ready to cast.
- The cleanse is nice and if you don’t need the Mana, you might want to keep the spell full in case there’s no yellow gems around for a cleanse (like when Glitterclaw casted on you and Titania is ready to wreck you next turn). He is nice against Mab and Glitterclaw and saves your eyes against Infernus’ stupid burn giving you eyecancer.
- As he’s Impervious and will likely sit in last spot, he puts the final nail in the FT/Kraken/Mab meta which was dying anyway. I’ve had some fun matches where only he and Mab remained; it’s just them smashing skulls against each other as his damage is abysmal and Mab can’t Mana Burn him.
- He might gain a bit more use in the future when there’s protection against Mana Drain so Psion and Famine will get some nerf. I could see him doing pretty okay in a team which is otherwise pretty drain-proof.
- You obviously want to use someone else against teams like Goblins who don’t slap status effects on you.

Yes! Just got him from some glory keys!
I don’t really know how much I spent to get him. Stupid me don’t like to save resources/keys, so I have to start over since Friday by collecting tributes and playing treasure hunt. It’s usually around 7 gems/200 glory per tribute/hour.
I promise I will starting hoarding and spending wisely from now on! No more weird habit of always keeping keys at zero!

Wow you guys had fun over the weekend! To answer a question from ages ago, I sent myself an orpheus to preview on Stream which is why he didn’t appear as new. 
Congrats to everyone who pulled Orpheus! Can’t wait to see the teams you come up with.

Getting him without any keys saved up beforehand is seriously good luck! And yuuup, when I started to hoard keys, it was very difficult to keep myself from spending them all immediately like I was used to. It’s rough, knowing that you just need one more copy to get that one card to mythic, but no, you want to wait three more weeks until you use all those keys… It does need self-control…

Daaaang, you and Salty both are lucky! (Though Salty now has enough copies to distribute around your office anyway 
) But yeah, he is the first mythic I got without having to touch VIP chests, so that was really, really nice!

I like to think that my luck comes from hoarding keys but not really using them that often

Well, I hoard keys and gems until mythic-exclusive weeks and only then use them. Didn’t work so well for Skadi and Gargantaur (used everything I had and got zero in both cases). Had around the same amount of resources for them as for Voice of Orpheus, so yeah, all is luck.

Me: “Well, gotta meet guild requirements, grumble grumble, well, was nice to test Voice of Orpheus, just gotta do PVP quick with Infernus and be done with everything for the week, too bad poor Voice has the same colors as the most OP mythic right now, will never use him again.”
-Five minutes later. -
Me: “Help, where is my extra turn, why am I on fire, why am I not dealing skull damage, why-- oh. This game has status effects. 
”

Looking to rehome one unused Infernus
- Smells like sulfur
- Often sets things on fire (but doesn’t mean to!)
- Potty-trained
- Kinda grumpy
- Best for people who like lava a whole lot
- Doesn’t like baths
