A New Mythic Approaches – Okra’Nos the Sleeper

I did. I even used it in PvP! I even landed a first turn Curse + Terror that made a Diamontina run away before the AI got a turn.

It’s worth mentioning that the original Okra’Nos the Sleeper was made with a counter already in-place. It was surprisingly blatant and flavorful too, which feels like a rarity nowadays. It could have a been a complete accident; who knows!

In the opposing corner, you have the evil Okra’Nos the Sleeper. the Red Brown Purple Daemon Construct that originally threatened to silence most who dare approach it. In your corner, you have the Green Yellow Divine Human Sister Superior that says a prayer on command that stuns Daemons before Daemons can act. Sister Superior will suppress evil for as long as she can, but depending on circumstances Okra’Nos can finally get the upper hand and stop her from pinning Okra down.

TL;DR: Sister Superior, Daemon vs Divine, Construct vs Human. Red Brown Purple vs Green Yellow

The other set of counters were something the devs were already trying to push people to buy… those dastardly Invulnerable Immortals that already do a very high amount of damage in their home PvP zones. I saw someone with a Level 19 Ossifer at around level 12xx today. Was kinda amazed.

Agreeing with you wholeheartedly here. Also, if we (ok, one specific person) could please not mock people for whom English isn’t their first language? Anyone who comes in here having learned enough of a second (or third, etc.) language to communicate should be celebrated, not ridiculed and bullied. That’s just shameful behavior.

In Dungeon, your whole team could be silenced before the battle begins. This is the team I use to combat that. I can’t remember if curse all is also one of the traps but it doesn’t matter. This team isn’t always fast but it always wins.

you save keys to make sure you get a certain mythic and then when it is released it is pure and utter trash.. Any excitement that the skilled player base have is quickly dashed by folks that refuse to use the thing between their ears. What if my wand gets silenced? If I have to tell you what to do in this instance, then you should partake in an easier game. Another month another boring mythic.

funny thing, big mouthes yet 0 answers about what to do next. Wand got silenced, no cleanse in sight, go ahead charging up your 30 mana immortal with no generator.

you do realize there’s actually no point in answering that right? there’s so many different variations possible for player team, enemy team, and possible restriction type (or lack there of) that it would just look silly to answer every single possible hypothetical situation blindly

I need just 1 answer for this specific situation and I expect it to be practical, not “put 2 more cleansers in your team”

Sister is a good option yet still wasted slot JUST for this one troop. And we dont have an option to swap PVP teams on fly.

Is it really? I don’t think it would have been. You already just win with a Wand + Chrys/Stellarix + Khafru/Boom/Leprechaun as the most popular team option.. so 4th slot is just icing. Sister would have also cleared Snap Freeze on top of stunning Okra and any Khafrus so Chrysantherax has a clearer path to winning.

Maybe you’re extra paranoid and want to win closer to 100% of the time. Then swap out Chrys/Stell for Maelstrom Dagonath. It’d be slower and you’d have to use Pharoah Khafru or random skulls to win vs other Maelstrom Dagonaths, but the player should have the upper hand in that situation.

Or you could just be like me and run Maelstrom Dagonath and a lv 30 Immortal to really waste people’s time (potentially) in Central Spire… not that I’ve had a chance to test it against Curse + Silence on 4/5 Gem match.

I don’t know how many people would have actually ran this troop after a week or two. Judging people’s team comps in PvP, many players are trying to win as fast as possible, not play defensive and win safely. Would be more useful for lower levels that need the extra time silence provides.. that’s for sure.

In a safe team, The Grey King would be a safer play in Brown/Purple than Chrysantherax, but that’s not what’s happening.

It’s also worth noting, Orpheus Medals do work as long as the troop isn’t stunned, incase Curse + Silence was on, but Elementalist hit a different troop.

You people have lowered the mythic drop rate haven’t you?

Took 9000 glory, 500 gems, and 30k guild seals to get this nerfed mythic

I am pretty sure it is the same as before, as none other than you have reported this. Imo you just had bad luck this time around as we all have now and then.

Got it. Never gonna use it because terror is garbage in player hands

Seems excessive :frowning:

You just got ripped off this month. Hopefully next ones cheap for you

I’ve not had a mythic drop from glory in AGES

I once spent 5200 gem keys, 80k seals, a few million glory before I got a Mythic. I know how it feels, but hey, at least u got it.

Yeah wish it was worth using. Too many people bawled here before it was even out and broke another toy before we even got to play with it

At least they could have made the spell more useful since they nerfed the 3rd trait. It is all just exceptionally sad to be honest.

They need to change its name. “The sleeper” should be silencing troops

Okra’Nos needs to deal true scatter damage, along with inflicting curse and terror on 4 or more gem matches. His reverted final trait was literally all he had going for him.

He can’t even deal as much damage as Atlanta, and you get her for completing the Divinion Fields quest line.
