A New Mythic Approaches – Okra’Nos the Sleeper

You’ve mentioned counters.

Ok here’s some.

Any devour troop.

Any insta kill troop.

Any immortal

Zuul you win mate, I don’t agree with anything you say, but it’s tiring.

Fair enough. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure everyone sees the stuff in our favour. Just that some of us don’t agree it’s worth the risk of when the RNG goes against us, and we’re left in a very bad place.
Might be wrong. But seems like we all see this was a very powerful troop (too powerful, to some of us), and we’re arguing over whether it would have been fun or not to have it in the game, appearing on our team AND the enemy teams.

Idk man, I just said its unbeatable, yet you’re acting like you can beat it. Obviously game developers know better, so they did nerf it first. Whats your point, green or G?

Ok so Drac just said it’s unbeatable read his post.

And it’s a game, there is no risk.

There’s a risk eating a chip, choking hazard.

A risk getting out of bed

A risk crossing the road.

A risk living in a nuclear powered country.

There’s no risk in a mobile game.

It’s called playing for a reason.

We play games, we don’t live them.

Yeah, kill the troop and it’s not a problem. But that’s true of every troop.
I agree it can be beaten. The problem is that if it triggers, you lose all counters, without losing the battle. Compare it to the new raid boss, which can one-shot kill your whole team, in one turn, and is very hard to counter. Kill it first, and it doesn’t matter. But assuming it gets all its mana, and you can’t kill it, can you counter it? Well, you can freeze other members of the team, and try to counter it getting multiple turns, so it can’t kill your team in one go. That’s about it. It’s hard to counter once it starts. But it needs a bunch of mana before it reaches that, and you have time to counter it before hand.
Okra’Nos can trigger before you can do anything, if you’re unlucky. Most of the time, you’ll be lucky, but if not, you can start turn one or two stuck and unable to undo it. That would suck.

Just a question.

So using a weapon with the assassin trait, we’re you can’t go for me.

And 3 of the troops that are anti status effects.

Would this team beat it’s silence trait.

Without mentioning any other troops on the opponents side

A real question.

Ok I agree with you , we might lose .

But we might lose any fight, against any troops.

We’re supposed to have losses, it’s a game lol.

Can you rephrase the bit about the assassin trait? I don’t get what you mean there.
So, you have a team with a hero with assassin trait, plus an immortal, and two other troops immune to curse. Three of the troops, not including the hero would be immune to curse and silence, right. Now, your hero would be the only one cursed and silenced. The other three can still act, yes. But none of them would be able to remove the curse and silence from the hero.
You might still win the battle, or lose. but those troops are the only ones immune to Okra’Nos, so having them on your team would protect them, yes. And they are immune no matter what.

The trait that says, you can’t hit me, while other troops are on the team.

And those other troops have the trait. It’s either impervious or invulnerable. Like the tower and immortals.

Yeah, I agree. Losing isn’t great, but the occasional loss isn’t gonna make a game unfun (for most people). Getting stuck in a fight where you can’t do anything on your turn, except pass it over to the other player, would make the game unfun. And that’s what I’m focused on. The idea that this troop can occasionally RNG you to the point where you can’t do anything, just sit there turn after turn, bored and frustrated.
Kinda like goblins plus mana potions, but worse because you still have to take turns where you can’t do anything.

Ok so I’m using stealthy on my weapon.

I’m gonna be boring and use elementalist

And 3 troops with invulnerable.

So can I win.

Oh, Stealthy. Right, I get you.
Wouldn’t stop the hero from getting cursed, stunned, silenced, etc. Would make it harder to kill, and if it’s in third slot or whatever it might survive a while, depending on how the enemy team deals damage (troops that attack at random or target all would still hit it, for example).

Yeah, those troops are immune. It’s a handful of troops, mainly the immortals. And none can remove curse or silence, or both.
Sure, having them on the team protects against your whole team getting hit, and you just have those troops to use afterwards.

Let me chim in with a question. Did anyone even tried the new Mythic today?

Ok

Lucifa

Maelstrom

The tower.

I’d bank on myself. To win. Every time.

But I’m not in the defeatist mindset.

I’m in the, I can do anything mindset .

Elementalist doesn’t have stealthy. Thankfully. But either way, having troops with immunity would give you a chance to beat this troop, even with bad RNG, yes.
But I already agreed you can make teams to beat it, and you’re right that this would be the best way to do that, except you’d also have to counter the other three troops on the enemy team. My question was if you had a team that was already stunned, silenced and cursed. So, that means not having the immune troops. In that situation, is there any way to remove those status effects in one turn? Cus there’s every chance the enemy team would reapply them on their turn.
I’m not saying you can’t have a team with a troop that’s immune. I’m saying if you’re unlucky enough to have a team get cursed, stunned and silenced (which could definitely happen), there’s nothing you can do to undo that.

Not elementalist.
Assassin.

Yep I could be unlucky your right.

I could also be unlucky, and get double tapped by Chrys.

And my invulnerable traits , wouldn’t even matter.

I really can’t agree, that it would of been a game breaker.

Maybe a top 5 troop.

But not a tank fighting against spears.

Anyways good debate.

If I offended anyone, I apologise.

I am old school, when we could actually do free speech.

and feigning being offended , from just debating

Wasn’t a thing.

It’s good to disagree, it brings about healthy discussions.

Remember it’s the net, we can always press the off button :joy:. Not real life.

Great community.
