9.2 Crystal Kingdom: A Deep Dive!

it was +3 for 20 lvl and +4 for 30 power

Thanks for the correction! I’m getting confused looking between level and power… it’ll be nice to have all bonuses in one place with Prestige.

So we wouldn’t need a gold for a kingdom progression?

Sorry, that was incorrect. See @Nagflar_dv’s post above.

.. no gold.

Interesting! The primary gold sink outside of Guild tasks has been kingdoms, so it sounds like we’ll have more gold to spend on epic tasks!

most of it seems fair. I haven’t ran any numbers/I’ll leave it for other people that’s more knowledgable.

My only concern is the whole Shiny troop requirement/Shiny Dust

Because right now… 100 Shiny Dust for 1 token pull is such a horrible exchange rate and 5 Shiny Dust exchange per duplicate token is also a horrible exchange rate.

Not my favorite system in the world. Pretty far down the list actually.

Will this finally be the end of useless kingdom offers?
Or will the curse remain and we will be offered event keys to “help” upgrade kingdoms blocked by shiny troop progression?

It would be amazing if they added a new offer where you got shiny tokens for troops that you need to shiny level for kingdom progress.

I have no idea if there are plans to completely overhaul the “Daily Deals” system, but it would definitely help us out more than the current outdated feature.

that reminds me that I still never got Owleth level 2 despite all of my key openings

It’s rough sometimes

Is there any chance you would reconsider this? These offers were the only worthy thing from the wandering merchant system. And, literally, it was the main reason to play explore.

At the moment, there are no further changes coming to the update as it releases next week. But it’s something we can keep and eye on and track in the data for this offer.

Would a GW be pushed some other week or we’re gonna face some bugs which haven’t pops up during beta in the middle of a GW?

Also

"PvP Shop

  • The Random Book of Deeds and Imperial Deed offer have been removed, and not replaced with a new offer."

Random books was the only reason I care so much about gold marks. Without that choice the motivation for gold marks erodes, and the primary incentive for playing PvP with it.

fair enough

Well, thinking about that - I need forge scrolls (was planning on using the stack of writs for that eventually), so I’ll probably buy the cursed runes from PVP then.

Additionally, dragonite makes sense now. And then the shiny keys if you want to get those tasks done.

Or you could be real crazy and stack up gold marks for the Mythic.

Oh my gosh!!! I’ve totally missed that!
Such an awful decision.
It was the only reason to care about goldmarks, playing PvP, and, therefore, participating in GW

So, they have killed my desire to play at least two game modes.

UPD: Can’t even express my total dissatisfaction with all of these!!! Introducing random books allowed us to get past a bottleneck and upgrade our kingdoms. Seems like the devs DO NOT want us to upgrade anything (without real money purchases).

I’m not sure what bottleneck you are thinking you will face in 9.2 that didn’t exist in 9.1?
Additionally, Crystals are available in multiple locations and more locations than Deeds and Writs were, even without two of the PvP Shop offers.
So, if there is a concern other than Gold Marks can’t be spent on Deeds anymore, can you share more on it?

The bottleneck we used to have before the release that added books of Deeds into the pvp shop.

Before that, our kingdoms had been stuck at level 16 due to the lack of books of deeds.

Okay but now Deeds don’t exist. And you also don’t have to do all 3 Kingdom tasks before you get new ones and can upgrade Kingdom levels. Which is why I’m asking for more on your concerns
