Also consider that without a Hero on the team there are no spells that Enchant the Hero whenever Arcanus is a team member. That still doesn’t explain what’s supposed to be so enticing about some random Daemon popping up in opponent teams (extending fights) or own teams (blocking mana colors).
Then they could share their experience, possibly convincing us that such a gem type doesn’t outright spell disaster for game modes like Journey. Unless, of course, they liked that new gem type because it makes those game modes even more skewed against players. In that case it’s probably better to just keep silent, which they incidentally are, which surely is just a weird coincidence.
You’re probably completely right. They also liked opening dozens and dozens of gem dragon eggs and found it such a fun blast that they gave the players the incredibly fun experience of opening dozens upon dozens of cosmic dragon eggs.
Such a shame that those ungrateful chaps didn’t see fun in it and just kept complaining.
Oh, and for some reason they also find dragonite for perfect dungeon runs only to be extremely fun…care to give your hot take on why that might be?
Given devs have infinite amount of resources on their account, playing roulette with no investments is definitely fun thing to waste time with.
yes, i was watching a twitch stream when kafka took over from salty (yes that long ago) and a watched kafka gift herself a gray king, so i can see the devs and CX giving them selves as much of any resource they require.
They should bring back those streams. Not really for showcasing new things but to show, or at least pretend, they’re also part of the player community. As right now it just feels like there is such a big gap with players feeling like they aren’t heard and devs doing their own things in what i assume is hoping it will fix things that aren’t right in the game.
Communication is one of the most important things in the world and without it things only get worse. Just look at Bungie that when the devs communicate properly and are able to put their love in the game players celebrate it but when greed from upper management comes into play and they stop communicating things go sour very fast.
So to the GoW devs/employees which option do you rather have: Communicating better to understand us players or go own way and lose more players?

I want to hear them say to our faces with a straight face why they think the current iteration of journey is a good thing
I still miss the comedy of seeing Saltypatra making really shit teams every week in those streams.
