(1.08) A good game become pay to win

Well gosh darn it!

Have you tried using maps to get glory. i get 1500-2000 glory every week which i burn on the pack twice plus souls.

I havenā€™t but Iā€™ve used all my maps up and didnā€™t know until a couple of days ago that there was a card that gives a 25% for a map on spell usage so Iā€™ve only had maybe about 10 maps since the patch dropped. Once I get through all my quests Iā€™ll probably start farming maps. Getting gems seems to be slower going as well post patch.

Iā€™ll be honest, the only reason I came back to the game post patch due to new trophies. After seeing the changes I almost decided not to bother because it seems a lot more work to increase the power of your card while at the same time made matches that much harder. So, for long time hard core players the update seems great, for new players or ones not so lucky with drops it seems a lot less so.

Thanks for the suggestion. Iā€™ll keep it in mind going forward.

As a mostly free to play player, I disagree. The changes are super overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, it feels like you actually make more progress and get way more powerful with all the new goodies in place.

I agree with @pell 100%.

Thereā€™s a bit of being overwhelmed and a lot to process, but overall the Traits and Ascension make almost every Troop a viable option now. I see a lot more Rare/Common (ascended of course) cards in Teams now.

Commons and rares seem to be really good for their mana cost when all the bonuses are accounted for.

You are also more likely to get certain Traits, like Agile, on a Common. Itā€™s funny as hell to put a Serpent in the first position and it dodges a Bone Dragon/Sheggra nuke.

I use 2 serpents and two valks but only cause of reasons.

Best ā€œreasonā€ to do things is reasons.
