Why are the New PVP pets so ill-suited to their regions?

Just want to know why the new pets are so inappropriate for their regions? Like these two for example:

pets 1

Trolladin gives a boost to an all blue team, BUT only in Central Spire - the area where teams are multi-colored and you will hardly ever play with an all-blue team. Why can this pet not be used in a region that has BLUE as team restriction?

pets 2

Then Gladiraptor only gives a bonus in Aidania - a region that has one color per week - BUT the team is restricted to Beasts only. Why can this pet not be used in a region that will have an all-Beast team restriction instead?

pets 3

So the pets are useless and people only craft them because there is nothing else to craft with the silver marks. But I cannot fathom why this was done? Why can they not give proper team boosts? The same problems apply to the other available pets this week - green team bonus in Central, Mech team bonus in Aidania…

You’re assuming that the devs understand their own game.

Maybe it was just rushed for the update? I am hoping this will be fixed.

Having pets match completely match the requirement of their region might make them too powerful here, I think. Getting a small side bonus for having two or three troops matching the requirement on your team sounds fine to me, but that you need to overspecialise to get the full boost is nothing new.

Also don’t forget, that the pet costs are at a level, that they will remain cash-locked for quite a while, and you don’t want to increase another gap between paying and non-paying players.

Cash-locked??? I just played my a** off to get the 750 silver marks for a pet - all it took was a a TON of time. But when I discovered how useless the pet was, I decided not to get it after all. I agree that a partial team bonus will be fine though - at least make it worth my while in some way. But if I purchase these pets now I will literally never ever use them.

Also by now there are so many pets in the game that I am not desperate to get them for Kingdom power either. So what can I do with my silver marks? Nothing. Won’t hunt down silver marks again…

It’s worth noting that the requirements for the different locations are going to keep changing, so often the pet bonuses won’t be very useful, meaning you’ll need to keep buying new pets. That is by design. Otherwise, you’d buy a few and stop, and they want players to keep working to earn marks, to keep buying new pets.
The current pets work fine with the restrictions given, but they require specific teams which might not be what you want to use. That doesn’t make the pet worthless, just not useful to you. And if you buy it, you may find that at some point in the future the zone it applies to might switch to a requirement that makes that pet more useful, for that week.
I’d have preferred the pets to be more general, like to apply to all zones or give bonuses that didn’t require such specific teams, but knowing that the devs want to use this to add loads (presumably hundreds) of pets into the game, I can see why they did it this way.
On the plus side, it seems like these pets won’t fill up the drop pool for pet rescues and other areas, meaning people who want specific pets don’t have to worry.

Just look how lazy is the shield and sword integrated into their Art. They feel rushed.

Put a Silverglade or Zhul’Kari pet in for Central Spire and I’m buying.
