Valkyrie here and I don’t expect it to change anytime soon (still in my main PvP team, still not done with wanting to get souls). It will take a long time of using something else to get over those usage statistics for Valk.
mine is VALKYRIE
since the soul rebalance update i dont use her at all, yet she remains the favorite 
i think favored troop should delete data older then a month or reset monthly, its riddiculous
