This image reminded me when I sent my warrior kittens on expeditions in Monster Hunter.
But if I have to guess, I would say that it might have to do with the seasons they will introduce in the next patch. Maybe they will have a theme like campaigns and have a story to go along with it.
Or perhaps we will have to save stranded pirate kittens from the evil devil dogs of the sunken seas.

That’s the mythic Dread Captain Grim (Bl/R/Br) from Blackhawk. “Voyage” suggests a variation of Journey to me – possibly a new kingdom on an expanded world map… only guessing…
