So, I just spent 30 minutes playing explore 2 in khetar, and encountered two gnomes (checked my vault weekend counter before and after, measured time using two gold and two soul boosters from PvP, all activated at once). That’s one every fifteen minutes, on average. For comparison, I encountered 4 merchants in the same time, plus a couple of daemons/genies which I skipped out of.
I know it’s a vault weekend, so the chance of finding a gnome should be higher, right? Is this just bad RNG, or something messed up with the boosters? Seems like there should be more gnomes around.
Wish the game told you what the chances of finding gnomes are normally, and during a vault weekend, but I guess if they won’t even tell us what scores event battles give, I shouldn’t expect too much.
On average.
I find 40 verse gnomes (I don’t count other types of gnomes). Per a 5 hour non stop on a vault weekend day.
Explore one. Using ironhawk team.
Yes you can go 30 mins , without finding a gnome.
Then sometimes, you’ll get 3 in 3 fights, it’s pure rng.
So, it was just bad RNG. Makes sense, since I’ve just found a few more gnomes. Must have been on a bus together or something. Found way more merchants, though, and I’m liking that. Feel like having a merchant and angel weekend would be cool, where the odds of finding angels and merchants is doubled, but the odds of daemons and genies is halved. Can that be a thing, on one weekend a month, that isn’t the vault weekend (and doesn’t replace the vault weekend)?
How many battles did you do in that 30 minutes?
I just did a 30 min run of Explore 1. Roughly 150 battles. Found 13 Gnomes.
Admittedly, there was a really dry streak for the first 15 mins where I only got 2 though.
Just bad RNG streaks sometimes.
I was using a scythe team for quick battles. Just tried the same team again and managed a battle in 10 seconds, with another having bad RNG in terms of initial board setup, taking 30 seconds. I’d estimate at least 2-3 battles per minute, including menu navigation, but I wasn’t tracking it. Maybe 100-150 battles.
Yeah, seems like a similar amount of battles to yours, with less gnomes. Probably just bad RNG, but I wasn’t sure if the boosters had affected it. Since they ended, the gnome rate has increased, but it’s hard to tell if that’s accurate or just RNG.
