What Earth Mastery (Brown) Can Do For You (New Hero Leveling)

So, I created a new account, just to see how daunting of a task it would be for a newer player to progress in the game.

Being the misanthropic peasant that I am, I chose to go at it sans guild and free to play, as well.

Additionally, I wanted to see how quickly a player could acquire Mountain Crusher by prioritizing :gem_brown: Earth Mastery (Brown) upon leveling up. (Mana Mastery prioritization went: :gem_brown: :gem_red: :gem_blue: :gem_green: :gem_yellow: :gem_purple:.)

TL;DR: Hero Level 48 for Mountain Crusher.

So, say that you created a new account and desired to focus on certain masteries to unlock specific weapons asap. Here are the Mana Mastery choices and Hero stat bonuses given upon leveling up your Hero (levels 2-50 [you start at level 1]):

Hope this is of some use. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, and a few more comments: I can see how a newer player can become overwhelmed and disheartened rather quickly.

Broken Spire’s questline is elementary enough, but without a means of acquiring better troops and resources, the difficulty ramps up fast.

For the noob: It’s why belonging to a guild that has members actively contribute (gold for resources) is important. The various types of keys that you can get will assist you by giving you chances at new troops, and the souls will allow you to level them up so they’ll better serve you in battle.

I went about it solo, using the Treasure Hunt mini game to assist me with various resources. With the glory and gem keys I earned, I was fortunate enough to get two very useful troops, Sunbird and Zephyros, and when they dropped, if felt like I had gotten two Mythics.

There’s really nothing much else I wanted to cover or share, really. My first Legendary was the disappointing Saguaro from a glory key drop. I was able to unlock the perks for Titan class at 20 by Hero Level 49, so that was nice. Acquired Viking Armor, and am eighty or so gems away from Dragon or Celestial Armor.

Just means that even a solo player can survive early on. :slightly_smiling_face:

When I started playing a couple of years ago, I almost gave up because I simply couldn’t unlock Warlord Class.

I kept bashing against it for ages, before realising that I could explore other Kingdoms first and eventually got Orbweaver after which I finally had enough experience to get Warlord.

I played for two months before I even knew about classes…lol
