so for the few weeks i get a code to use a team from a streamer of the game because im terrible at making teams in general. His code includes the Ruby Macaque weapon. To use in this Tidecaller event. Well i cant use it because it says its a BLackhawk weapon. Before all this started happening i had no problem using the weapons he suggested, sometimes i put the code in and had to add the weapon because it did not recognize i did not have the weapon, when i had it.
I’m just wondering did something change? it never used to be like this and no one can give me a straight answer? All i have got is “it should work and i should be able to use said weapon” but it says invalid now and does not even show up because its not a merlantis weapon.
If you go to the class event and click on Edit Team, you can then click on the Weapon tab which will show you which available weapons you can use for the event.
In the Tidecaller Class trial you will see the filter restricts you to Merlantis.
The recommended team weapon Ruby Macaque won’t work as you found out. Nothing changed in the game at all, it’s only that the streamer recommended the wrong weapon.
You can however use the new weapon from the Invasion (guild event) called Ocean Star. You can purchase this in the Event shop for gems (much better than crafting it for diamonds).
The developers ruined Class Trials by accident, but hopefully we can use any weapon again in Parch 9.2. (We should probably be able to use any weapon in Underspire too, but that’s just my opinion).
