What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
During explore (level 12 in Divinion Fields), I have noticed that during the start of the battle I got a message “Waning portal activated”, however, there was nothing, which should have triggered it. I am playing this during gnome weekend, so the only explanation I have is that there should have been a gnome battlecrasher, which was prevented by the Waning portal.
EDIT: this does not happen during gnome-a-palooza, only regular explore battles
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
I have noticed it only since yesterday (1.8.) when I started playing explore during gnome weekend.
Steps to make it happen again
Both battlecrasher and Waning portal triggering is random, so this cannot be easily/reliably replicated. But when playing explore during gnome weekend, you will notice the Waning portal activation message from time to time in the beginning of the game.
