I assume 3rd traits does not count into creating extra gems if we have the Brown Astral Spire perk?

Today is the third time I’ve completed Touch the Stars II. Maybe a coincidence, maybe a bug?

Another currency? At least there will be a daily Adventure battle to earn it, as long as that is now permanent. If it’s starts getting swapped out for a random one it will be War Coins all over again.

But instead of adding yet another new currency, maybe go back to some of the older ones that players are sitting on tens of thousands of it not hundreds of thousands off and give them a new purpose, instead of creating yet another cash grab.

When the developers create new features like the Astral Spire, part of their purpose is to give you a new reason to keep playing, a new pursuit to chase down. If you could speed your way through the new content by way of having been sitting on huge piles of that old currency, it would subvert the developers’ purposes to some extent.

This is how these long-running games work. It will always be new currency, either to push players into spending more time with the game or to push them into spending (real) money to get through the content quicker. Because that’s what the developers want.

Maybe I’m biased, but I feel your company would want to promote the action of opening up the game as soon as they wake up. Instead of checking forums, discord, play store or anything else prior to opening Gems of War.

The fact is those who opened the game prior to updating the game have less new resources than those who hesitated or waited and updated before playing.

Is it a lot of a new resource in the long scheme of things? No.
Does it feel bad that opening the game before the update cost players a valuable resource? Yes.
Will compensation be sent out? No.
Is it because your publisher will not let compensation be sent out? Probably.

But it’s the little stuff like this that gains favor or loses favor with the community to game.

Once upon a time ago mail like that used to be sent out in every update. Unless I have nostalgic glasses thinking the good old days of Gems of War are better than they actually were.

It’s not possible to only mail those who updated later than others. But mailing everyone would be a nice gift. Not because we are owed it. Not because we deserve it. But because this is a video game.

All true except.

They dont care about us spending more time on the game .

If this was true. Then they would make dragonite grindable. Whuch its not.

Imagine how much extra time players would play with grindable resources. Curse runes, dragonite, gold marks.

So without evudence to show me different. They dont want us spending more time than needed playing.

Like today for instance. Pvp no guardians, and its pet wednesday. So 30 mins and everything is done.

They aren’t talking about developers wanting players to literally more time in game, they are talking about developers wanting players to just keep engaging with the game long term.

I really wish the players doing 300k vp every week. New exactly how you guys feel.

All about the quick cash grab. Grab us in 30 mins spend some money. Thats the business model.

It does kind of kick in the teeth, the level 2000+ players tho doesnt it. No real gratitude towards them. Coming from any of your company.

Iv only got 289d time played. So thats full days. And thats in 5 years. So works out a 5th of every day. Since day 1. 5.5 hours per day for 5 years lol. Damn should of just done 30 mins per day :rofl:

I’m not really sure what the argument is here. The method of obtaining star stones is clearly designed to encourage players to play more often, but it’s by no means grindy or time-consuming. It’s a pretty clever way to have a level playing field to work towards long-term account progress. Other modes like PvP are of course designed to be more grindy if people choose to do that, but that’s by no means necessary to progress your account.

This is really a win-win situation. Developers win by players logging in daily to get star stones. Players win by pretty easily being able to make significant progress regardless of their account level. And people who don’t want to play every day are by no means forced to, especially as constellation bonuses don’t apply to GWs.

Its not play more often. Its play more regularly.

It takes 5 mins per day, in tasks.

More often could mean more time.

Plus im not arguing. I like astral spire, i also play the game for me. So il play no matter what they do.

I buy all campaign and kingdom passes. Because the pull in is the troops and weapons.

Wont be buying astral stuff, as im poweful anyway, 2 shot everything.

Its like adding another turret to my tank, whils im fighting spear holders. Its no benefit. So can take years for all i care. No fomo.

It does sort of make books redundant tho doesnt it :rofl:

hard to say - in my eyes it would be a logical if tasks and rewards would generates at a start of a day on a server side regardless player login time, but in this situation we have 2 types of players on monday - those, who have logged in before an update and those who logged after - the first ones got old tasks, the new ones - new tasks - this is looks like bug, but i’m avare that technical realization of an update let the things go another way. As if an update pops up 15 minutes before reset rather than 3 hours.

But we are talking about only 60 SG of 23000 needed to only open all boards not talking about another 33600 for maxing capstones. It’s not worth typed letters.

We know the tactics for a future - wait for an update if you know it would be this day - or don’t wait - it’s your priorities any way. We’ve allready taught to exit 3 minutes before a weekly reset and login 3 minutes later for not to lose weekly ladder gold maks. same tricks for an old dogs)

The tasks are rolled randomly, I had II two days in a row then got IV

Yep, but most of all had some trash-gold-task on monday and then 2 SG tasks on thursday and friday - that difference depends on a login time

They are always worth a total of 60 Star Stones. Made sure to pop that in the Astral Spire blog.

So, I, II, III, and IV are just irrelevant? It’s always the same?
Or they add up to the same, but the exact values might be different? (Like 10+20+30 vs 20+20+20)
