Agreed, nice to see some legit quality-of-life improvements for the respective areas.
I don’t personally encounter Pet Gnomes very much (because I don’t typically PVP or Arena) but it is nonetheless a good help for when I do.
New upgrade screen is good. The loss of an “ascend all” is not really an issue for me anymore because I’ve adopted a practice of only leveling troops that are fully traited – with a side effect that any time I ascend a Troop (that is fully traited), I immediately go to level it up +1, therefore I never use the mass ascend all.
Timers shown on rotating Soulforge crafts is good.
Except that’s not what’s going to happen for a lot of them. Many of them are going to leave the guild to go get it and likely just before the Guild Wars week so the rest of the guild will be shorthanded.
you know that the number of copies you have of that troop is still shown in grey below the craft button? agree on could be shown better, in another color for example
Agree: Paragon achievement isn’t a good idea.
I would vote for Herald achievement to encourage people to get better than Soldier or Vanguard.
Paragon or even Champion is too much imo.
Last thing:
New Roster in GW still can’t show the wins/losses of our defenses, if I understood correct?
Also agree that the Paragon achievement is not a good idea for many of the reasons already explained above by others.
And as someone who apparently doesn’t “deserve” the achievement because I will never be able to beat my best GW players (been trying for 7 years now) but will want to get the achievement anyway, this puts me (as a GM) and my guildmates in a terrible position.
Recommended solution:
Let me compete against my own team building skills and my guild wars opponents for the achievement.
Change the achievement to be point/score based.
For example: Using the screen shot in the patch notes…the achievement could be set at 1,300 or 1,375 points.
Paragon level play without having to lose players, asking your top players to play at less than their best and losing wars or creating more dead guilds.
That might not be a much better idea. You can achieve it easily in exactly the same way, by hopping into a newly created solo guild that faces generated sentinel teams each battle. In general, I’d avoid adding achievements that promote exploiting game mechanics in order to be gained in a reasonable way, especially if those exploits have a negative impact on other players, like your former guild members.
What would probably work out okay is getting a total sum of points over any number of Guild Wars events. That way, everybody can work towards the achievement without possibly getting locked out, some will just progress faster than others.
@jeto Hi there, previously you’ve mentioned that with 8.9 devices vith old android OS couldn’t run GoW? Is this info actual, would you implement that update to an engine?
That paragon achievement needs to be changed, for all the reasons already mentioned. The point based idea is a good one, let us get the achievement by accumulating GW points over time. I don’t think this achievememt was thought through well enough, but hopefully the case has been made here to change it. Or else I will just add this achievement to the list of unattainable achievements, like the hoard mimic, which as a daily player I still do not have after I don’t know how many years.
BTW troop types are not translated in an upgrade menu, but menu itself looks fine. And a fonts - either i get used to it ether it was slightly changed - i just leave them be)
I agree with the points being made about the Paragon achievement/trophy being a potential headache for GMs. The better GW players within a guild will get it before long, so no problem for most of us.
However, like others have said I’m also worried about people dropping out because they won’t have a chance to get it if they stay with their current guild. Beyond that I’m even more concerned there will be long established members requesting to let them be Paragon just this week to get the achievement without having to leave the guild. That’s a no win situation for a GM to deal with.
