Update 8.6 Patch Notes

Personally. The mythic treasure, is better than 500 shards.

You could use 500 shards in underworld, and not get a mythic.
So mythic is fine.

The underworld treasures are helpful but confusing at the same time. Chaos shards for the legendary (genie lamp) and mythic (sacred treasure) rewards don’t seem right and maybe the gem and vault keys need to be adjusted as well, but I just don’t know. Maybe 25 and 50 dragonite instead? Or something else?

These rewards are “free,” but they can’t be too good. They just need to make more sense and need to be adjusted a bit. The campaign tasks are honestly just fine, and not having to pay for them is a great feature.

But the actual campaign pass? That is a whole other issue because for me, those rewards are a lot like the PvP season pass, and I am only going over there to upgrade the artifact.

PvP and campaign pass, are now exactly the same formula.

The positive is, while doing PvP, your also doing the campaign tasks.
I buy both, would love dragonite, glad about extra books.

Don’t need nothing else.

Maybe a sentinel gnome

All tasks finished by Wednesday, except for demons. Sigh

On the upside, we finally got to see what Guild Keys look like.

I’d go as far as saying that killing enemies, winning battles, matching skulls, matching mana gens, matching 4 or more gems, destroying heroic gems and killing enemies is also something everyone does in every battle. Rare exceptions may apply, just like it is possible to not cast spells in battles.

So, I think we can agree that they will all just progress in the background. And I think we should agree that they all require effort, because they don’t progress without playing. This effort may be spent in any area of the game, it still has to be spent though. If there is the impression that the rewards auto-collect for everyone, just send them by mail and ditch campaign tasks.

I’d rephrase the feedback like this:

“Campaign tasks are supposed reward players for continuously interacting with the game over 10 weeks. Some of those loyalty rewards feel very much underpowered, bordering on insulting for anyone who has played the game. To give an example, 100 jewel shards are entirely worthless. It’s a crafting component that has no use on its own, even recipes nobody would ever think of crafting need thousands of them. Please consider revisiting those rewards, drop the ones that serve no purpose, possibly improve the quantity of some.”

We NEVER had to do this before. Please roll back the changes. Campaign tasks were a pain before and was fixed. Why revert the changes AGAIN? Does the dev team not lean from the past? I did all the normal tasks (dungeon, underspire, etc) in the past with 0 progress.

It is obscene that you still don’t respect your players enough to put info like this within the game, in the campaign menu, where it belongs.

Before this patch routine daily tasks like Dungeon and Adventure Board were mostly sufficient across the weeks to max out the artifact. Now they contribute ZERO progress to the campaign pass. And NOTHING in-game explains why.

In an update that was pitched to “consolidate” or “shorten” things for overtaxed players, you couldn’t have pushed the needle further in the wrong direction. Bewildering levels of failure once again.

Well I’m glad we’re getting more of the rarer items and less of the farmable ones. I’m not finding the campaign tasks very onerous at all as a regular player.
