I’m not sure if I’m in the right place and would like to let the developers know.
I bought the PVP Pass a few days ago through Google Play (using credit). Everything worked fine. Wasn’t the first time and there was never anything.
Today I received an email from Google Play about the cancellation, which I didn’t request, didn’t want, and didn’t even know that was possible. I still have access to the PVP Plus Pass, but I got my money back.
I’m not going to complain, but I don’t think it’s fair and wanted to let them know. I can’t do much because it still says “Premium Pass” and there’s no “I didn’t request” button in the cancellation email.
I even tried to buy the pass again, but it doesn’t work because I still have access.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Is there anything I can do? Do I keep access and the rewards? I would pay again as mentioned above, but I’m afraid I’ll somehow lose the rewards I received?
I’ve contacted Google Play. They don’t know exactly why it came back; it was a mistake and shouldn’t happen like this. There’s nothing they can do now. Since it still says “Purchased” in the game, I can’t buy it again, and of course, Google Play can’t do anything about it.
That means I’ll probably need a ticket, and you’ll have to get it back to “Not Purchased” somehow… (hopefully without me losing anything in-game…?)
But I won’t get the ticket until tomorrow, since it’s already well past midnight here and I’m very tired. So, good night.
No need for a ticket at this stage, cos I can explain here.
A very generic explanation of how it works is:
You make a purchase in-game > the money is sent to Google Play > that sends the data to us that a successful payment has been made, which triggers the purchase to appear in your account data.
This is why we can’t refund anything on our side, because we do not have access to these funds at all
If you apply for a refund with your platform, then they just revert the spend. There is no connection between that data of the funds being reverted, and your actual Gems of War account data. So, in a situation where you maybe get the items way later or something like you have described, there isn’t anything to tell the game code you got your money back so you shouldn’t have those items. They won’t be removed. We definitely have ways to check if this is being exploited, and players will be game banned.
In Puzzle Quest 3 I think there are some real money checks in place for refunding, that prevents this happening completely
If you want further assistance, feel free to send in a ticket and I’ll grab it when I can.
But do you have the Pass as active in the game?
Like I’m trying to understand if you are just concerned it will be removed or if there is something else?
Cos if it’s just you want to spend the money again, but the offer is already active then… I can ask the devs if it’s possible to make it available again, if that doesn’t break anything cos you already own it.
Due to an error, I got the money back, which was credited back to my Google Pay, so Google can’t do anything about it. Everything’s fine on their side know. But they couldn’t tell me why I got the money back.
Because everything was fine during the purchase process, and it only came back days later.
But since the pass is still active, can’t I buy it again.
I hope I’ve explained it clearly now. I just have to keep using Google Translate and then check if it makes sense.
So, you just want to spend the money again cos you got it back?
Cos if that’s the case, I don’t think we can make the pass available a second time, without all the rewards being sent again
And we can’t remove it, to make it available again.
If you just feel bad about getting your money refunded, then you can buy something else of similar value.
Yes, that’s exactly what I wanted. I felt guilty even though it wasn’t my fault.
Oh, I will, though not right away, if that’s okay.
I like your game and am happy to spend a little now and then. It wasn’t my first purchase and it won’t be my last. The other times, everything worked without a hitch.
Thank you for your patience and your answers. Have a nice day/night.
