Unable to add a new recruit as says username not recognised

Hi I’m trying to add a recruit

As you can see it looks to me like JAMIE 170 but when I type that in it say does not exist and iv tried JAMIE170, jAMIE 170 even changing the 0 into O and 1 into I but saying the same thing. We are both playing on app and steam so cant understand why I cant add him. Any help is gratefully appreciated

Underscores can be invisible. If mitamata’s suggestion doesn’t work, there can apparently sometimes be a hidden underscore at the end, like: JAMIE_170_
