PSN seems to be down or suffering issues. I can’t connect to the game, and I assume that is why, but it’s acting just like when the game was taken offline. To anyone not on the forums, it’s gonna seem like the game has been taken offline again, and potentially they’ll be expecting another rollback.
Would be great if the devs actually communicated, and told us the game is working today, but guess we won’t get that, so thought I’d make a post for anyone coming here for answers.
Not sure when PSN will be back, but hopefully today’s issues are them, not the GoW devs.
I don’t know if it’s PSN or Gems of War specifically or something. But when I tried a few minutes ago, I had internet connectivity through my PS4 and could do things like browse the web, but I couldn’t get into Gems at all (Error 503) and it wouldn’t pull up my Friends list.
Something is definitely wonky, but I’m not technologically savvy enough to know what or why.
I, and at least three other players on PSN, cannot log in.
Just managed to log on to the game, long enough to grab tribute and open chat. Then it popped up a message saying I need to restart the game due to a bad connection. Which is totally stupid, btw, because when your connection is bad, that’s the worst thing for this game to do. But couldn’t get back in.
Hopefully they fix it soon.
If anyone else is still trying, I started the game and went to dashboard, opened network options, and let it connect, exited and re-entered, let it connect again, then exited and went back into the game. It was past the “logging in” bar, and managed to load the game.

I can log into the game and play. It just takes a while before the loading bar goes very far.
On the other hand, I still cannot get my PSN account to show me as online. Obviously, my notifications aren’t coming through, either, such as when my Guild springs loose a pest rescue.
But once inside GoW? I’m okay other than the odd “Error 403” message that I can just click past without harming anything.
