“We will be changing the Player team for Trials in Wild Plains to the following:”
Anyways,
Old Player team:
Hammerhead
Pirate
Sharkey
Bonnie Rose
Old Enemy team:
Mimic
Pirate
Sharkey
Kraken
First impression:
Huh?
Banner is Brown, Blue
Shocktopus gives a bonus Blue Link
Fire Mate Axelubber turns Blue to Red. Isn’t that a mission failed at that point?
Also, something is seriously off about troop design if a common Ship Cannon is the go to Brown troop in a Double Brown Banner Kingdom. Granted, Mimic and Sharkey aren’t any better. (probably worse too)
I guess the devs are paralyzed by the Switch and can’t use troops not available in that game. Otherwise this new troop makes slightly more sense than Ship Cannon.
This enemy team is a bit of a Wildcard. Once Willi the Anchor moves, Narwhale becomes unblocked on both colors. I don’t know if it’ll gain enough mana to bypass itself + Dragon Turtle mana blocking Bonnie Rose, otherwise… it stops being new player friendly. That being said, the only player wincon is the instakill gimmick by Captain Macaw. If you can clear their Bonnie Rose, the rest of their team is “free”.
The loot table for troops in Blackhawk event chests is expected to look like this:
Chance | Amount | Troop |
---|---|---|
0.11% | 1 | Cantur, Megavore, Sycorax |
3.2% | 1 | Captain Macaw, Captain Saltclaw, Kraken, Scylla |
12% | 1 | Boatswain Bart, Bonnie Rose, Captain Skullbeard, First Mate Axelubber, Kendrala Bloodjewel, Lil’ Johnny Bronze, Quickpaw Jack, Red Charlotte, Scurvy Seadog, Shocktopus, Willi the Anchor |
21.6% | 1 | Dragon Turtle, Mimic, Mosasaurus, Raksha Swabbie, Sharkey |
21.6% | 2 | Dead Parrot, Deck Hand, Narwhale, Parrot, Pirate |
21.49% | 3 | Hammerhead, Rat Swarm, Ship Cannon |
Unfortunately, event chests have a tendency to be misconfigured, either entirely missing specific mythic troops or containing them at significantly lower than advertised odds. There is no way to know this ahead of spending, and no way to get any kind of refund. If you plan to open event chests, wait till the weekend for the community to find irregularities, this significantly reduces your risk of getting burned.
This is not “Wild Plains”…
…again, someone carelessly not doing a good copy&paste job.
How many more weeks until this seemingly singular person posting with the @Jeto -account finally learns?
I suggest to paying players, to hold back on the new campaign pass until the update has been changed to a not-awful state. You won’t miss out on rewards if you buy delayed, and it should send a strong message, if a significant number of players does not jump at this cash feature right away.
If you think, this is a good idea, maybe share it with others.
Kinda doubt this suggestion will make much difference to the devs given the number of people who were already willing to spend a lot of gems/cash on the Underspire event last week?
there’s no reason to buy the campaign pass day 1 anyways
It is a number, and that number would be lower than it was before. I am sure, there is some little analyzing spreadsheet, that will mark this number in red, if it happens. And that will get someone in trouble.
The troop design may be bizarre, as always, but at least it’s possible, unlike last week’s where we were pitched against 3 hitters and a skull generator with a bad hitter and a bad skull generator which usually ends up setting up the opposition. While their skull generator wasn’t the best, the enemy team with ludicrous stat bloat can take a number of hits, while ours can only survive 1 - a couple more depending on level.
