I just spent 5k Event Keys to not get Astaroth. I’m not even mad. It just makes it more confusing why the pvp mythics are being withheld from Event chests when the odds are already that bad.

Can anyone confirm they got Astaroth before I am wasting more keys.

Astaroth isn’t a PvP mythic, it’s from the Unholy Flame campaign. Here’s the official guarantee that it is part of the loot table:

On the other hand, I gave up after 10k event keys. If you need keys at all, don’t get baited and just wait for it to hit the soulforge. The pool dilution is crazy these days.

No. They aren’t weighted at all.
Edited cos I just wanted to check some things myself. There are also only 4 Mythic troops in that Kingdom, and you did open like 8k chests, so I don’t think it is the weirdest RNG I have seen to have gotten one of those 5 troops multiple times.

~8000 event keys here to get a copy. (Plus an Abynissia, 2 Archdukes, and 2 Succubus Queens. All of which I previously had, most in multiples of their own.)

That is brutal.

So Azbeel is a troop that is only worth using for a tower event and it creates burning gems which have no effect on towers. It would have been better to have it just create 5 red gems instead, as the burning gems only end up affecting the players team unless all troops have burning immunity.

Burning gems fit the theme of the troop well, but make no sense against the enemy it targets. It isn’t even boosted by burning gems on the board, which would make those burning gems useful against towers. Still not great, as you can’t easily keep many burning gems on the board, but it would be more sensible than creating gems that aren’t useful at all.

I had ~15k event keys. I suppose it’s possible that I’ll need them for the next time that a campaign mythic is available through that avenue before it hits the Soulforge, if I don’t first get it through serendipitous Glory/Gem keys or from mythic tasks that my guild knocks out.
But it’s every bit as likely that I will end up using them to build my nephew a treehouse or something. =P
