How many battles can your 4 troops survive, while battle is getting harder at the same time.
No summoners allowed to pick from.
Hero is open with all classes and weapons without summoning weapons/upgrades.
Now the importance of the white magician troops comes into play - as you need to give life to your allies - cuz in the next battle they will start out where the previous battle left of - stats wise.
I don’t see too much point disallowing “summoners” (Queen Xochi? Dullahan?) if you allow healers (and certain other buffers, like Gem Dragons or Guild Guardians). But otherwise the idea is interesting … say, once you clear the enemy team, a new enemy team spawns in at an incrementally higher level and the battle simply keeps going.
Alternatively, maybe the enemy pool can be biased slightly towards troops that scale by enemy stats (Fel’Dras, Rakshanin, etc) ?
It’s all too easy to put together a dedicated team that can buff stats to an unreasonable level, especially if the design is an “endless mode” that’s effectively one battle. Short of blatant AI cheating with skyfall drops, it’s probably not difficult to forsee a scenario where the Player would end up with troops that have 1000 attack, armor, and life and can effectively one-shot or two-shot everything on the other team.
