I was using my palooza team in Grosh Nak but the Summoner refused to take damage unless it was skulls. I’ve tried using other teams and I have no problem dealing damage. Could the Summoner be immune to Ironhawk’s trait? Has anyone else seen this?
I get the trait but when I use Dust Devil at 5 damage and with 2 Ironhawk dealing 10 damage that should be enough to take the Summoners health down low but still leave it with 5 armour. Unfortunately it doesn’t do any damage to the health at all
It’s because it counts as 3 hits so the trait triggers 3 times making him effectively immune to Ironhawk trait. Don’t know why he gets to have a trait in explore 1 when nobody else seems to. It is annoying when trying to get quick Orc kills.
That makes sense if the damage it all counted separately.
Thanks
For comparison, Burn damage: unlike Poison or Bleed which deal True Damage, for a Troop with Orc Armor being on fire actually makes them gain 2 Armor per turn.
Now I’m imagining a horde of orcs on fire running down a hill towards a village that’s scrabbling for buckets and hoses to put them out before they get too strong to fend off.
Reminded me of my early team when I owned everything with burning lizard.. Until orcs came into play and I had no idea what to do
Enemies in Explore 1 are at a level right around the point when some AI enemies get their first trait.
Now, I don’t play Explore 1 other than during Gnome-a-Palooza, so it’s difficult to tease out underlying patterns as to which specific troops are getting their first trait and why when everything I see gets replaced by semi-random gnomes. But I’ve noticed troops with that first trait active often enough that I assume it’s intended behavior rather than a bug, even if it’s a relatively low percentage of them and the logic behind that escapes me.
Likewise, in Explore Lv.2 enemies will, on average, have their second trait active.
When they get traits depend on their rarity. Lower rarity troops get traits at lower levels.
Not so sure about that. On my Grosh-Nak explore 1 runs, only Summoner has a trait. Even legendaries and mythics don’t.
No, I think the point is that low rarity troops get their traits earlier.
Just done a few explore 1 battles in Grosh-Nak and got a battle against Rock Squid, Armored Boarlet and War Wolf, all of which are green/rare rarity, and all of which have their first trait, as well as Gor’Thrum who is purple/epic and has no traits. It makes no difference because those three troops have first traits that do nothing, but it shows that low rarity troops can have their first trait in explore 1.
