Another newbie question, sorry if it’s been asked before. I’ve tried to learn this myself, problem with a lazy pupil, so I ask the masters instead. What is a good strategy, should I keep them all even or should I go for one them whenever that one comes? And if the kast one, what should decide which one then? Thanks in advance!

The theory from the start of Gems of War is that you should keep all Masteries even, because there’s no real advantage to have any particular colour higher than another. You will be using all sorts of teams with troops of various colours.
