If we allow that to scare us off, then we’re also to blame when this issue doesn’t get properly addressed beforehand.
We know that the QA process for this game stinks. That we can identify all sorts of problem stuff ahead of time from the data-scrapers and it won’t get fixed because nobody seems to be inclined to proof-read and nobody seems to be responsible for doing so as part of their routine duties.
So we ought to be pestering them whether or not they like it. And if they don’t want to be pestered by this, perhaps they ought to get this (stuff) right in the first place.
It’s their job/responsibility to get it right, but that doesn’t absolve us of that same responsibility to say something if we see something.
Sure, go ahead, feel free to break the forum rules. Just keep in mind that we have absolutely no way to reach the devs, the only information they receive from the community is what those enforcing the forum rules deem worthy to forward.
I kind of understand the stance, they’ll want their developers to concentrate on developing, not getting distracted by mingling with the unwashed masses. Unfortunately, it’s not just their QA process that stinks, it’s their whole approach to communication. They are blind, deaf and mute by choice, and apparently absolutely happy to keep it this way, because they haven’t ever heard or seen anybody pointing out how much this fails.
Comparing the 8.2 patch notes with reality, NONE of the bugs claimed to have been fixed have actually been fixed, and to make matters worse, the attempted fixes have even introduced additional, more severe bugs. The official take on the situation is this:
And that’s all said and done, like the few dozen or so times in the past where the team discussed what happened to improve processes in future. No, I’m not blaming Kafka here, this is really an entire company terminally incompetent, with someone stuck with the task of continuously having to paint a Perfect World facade.
Why do I have a feeling it’s not going to do any good?
All we’ve asked for was removing silver marks. Now the word “epic” scares me. I won’t be surprised if the devs are like “we’ve heard the community feedback, so we are happy to introduce epic burning chests. Twice the cost, with the increased chances to double silver marks and icons”
Epic burning chests scare me as well. You can bet that there are going to be more money offers associated with them, but it doesn’t solve the main problem with burning marks–too limited with too many useless resources in the drop pool.
Why would is it so hard for them to just make burning chests like shiny chests? We want to upgrade immortals, so for the love of Holy Saint Astra, please let us do that more reliably!
I’m not opening a single burning chest until this issue is directly addressed. I had a moment last season where I wanted to upgrade my immortal Ossifer to his 4th level, so that I could get his final trait. I opened about 10 chests of silver marks and icons.
I refuse to be disappointed again, and I am not wasting my time on ridiculous pvp objectives or spending any more money on that garbage.
Enough is enough. We are being penalized for no reason.
Now introducing epic burning chests. You can pay for epic burning marks or convert 50 burning marks to 5 epic burning marks. It costs 20 epic burning marks to open an epic burning chest, because of how much more amazing they are.
Soon to be introduced, uber burning chests. You can pay for uber burning marks or convert 100 epic burning marks to 5 uber burning marks. It costs 50 uber burning marks to open an uber burning chest, because all they have inside is immortal souls for the exact immortal you actually want, and none of the other nonsense. You know, exactly what the players actually wanted in the normal burning chests.
I know you meant to be ridiculous, but I can actually see that kind of a system being put into place. It makes me feel like I’m at the circus trying to pop balloons with darts.
And that is…just please stop with the rng nonsense. Upgrading kingdoms with random deed books from gold marks is annoying enough. If the burning marks update is absolutely ridiculous like we all fear, I’m probably going to just take a break from it, so that I don’t have to think about juggling all those balls around…I mean epic burning marks…same thing…
Possibly because updates get named after the most prominent feature they contain. Apparently no Guild Wars this years after all. Who would have thought?
So:
the good news: less Daemonic Portal Gems (and typo fix)
the bad news: … now this troop does even less damage with less Portal Gems and nothing to compensate.
Maybe they don’t want people to buy this current campaign?
This is worse than Fallen Valdis now in my opinion.
If they can make minor changes to a terrible mythic, then they should have made him MUCH better.
No one will buy the campaign pass for him. Fallen Valdis actually looks good compared to this lol. I would have given him more mana accumulation with more explosions (maybe 5 like infernus) along with stealthy. Asteroth should feel like a good summoner that deals damage, accumulates mana, while summoning troops.
people already dont like daemonic portal gems, so I wouldn’t give him stealthy. but it definitely needs an upward boost, preferably something that doesn’t require daemonic portal gems to do anything…
I will admit that Asteroth could become an absolute menace if it kept summoning troops while dealing damage and having stealthy. That’s probably too evil, but I guess I was trying to think what their concept for Asteroth was.
It’s probably a bad idea trying to get into how their minds work when they try to come up with new mythics.
When we realized that Daemonic Portal gems explode in a 3×3 area without the corners like bomb gems, the devs probably thought too hard and made some quick changes.
I wanted to download maps for all kingdoms, and I found all of them in “other” section of “GoW Graphics”. Almost all - the site missed Silverglade (Kingdom 26), Crypt Keepers (Kingdom 37), Indrajit’s Palace (Kingdom 65) and Vulpacea (Kingdom 74). Can they be added? And do they need their own section, like “kingdom maps” (because "other’ has too many things already)?
