With the recent addition of Daemonic Portal gems it looks like a portal to hell has opened in PvP as well.
Exploding traits with Mana Potions, Giant and Dragon gems make PvP even more unfairly luck based in combination with the Daemonic Portal Gems.
You’re almost done with a battle, just 1 enemy remains, then suddenly alot of daemonic portal gems get activated with another special gems effect such as the Dragon gem and things are back to square one. Which sometimes even causes a loss as they’re at full armor and health.
Can we at the least make it so that the Campaign special gem cannot appear in PvP through normal drops? Either that or completly remove special gems dropping in PvP.
It’s almost unplayable, definitly frustrating and just takes more time to get through these battles. @Bramble
These gems shouldn’t be in PvP if they can’t even fix the summon bug that buffs the hell out of AI troops each summon. Its frustrating when you /should/ need one more cast to finish the match, only for an exploding troop to summon multiple demons while also buffing their stats back to full + more.
Special gems as a modifier should be removed from PvP altogether. I tend to ignore the other areas unless it has a gold mark reward and mainly play PvP battles in the Central Spire to avoid all the special gems.
When it comes to Citadel battles, I normally pick the one with the less annoying special gems modifier.
The mana potions and dragon gems have to be 2 of the worst ones to deal with and I try to avoid them like the plague.
Yeah, at the very least the special gems should be removed from these areas, or toggleable so players can choose if they want those gems falling in those areas. Losing battles or having to quit from them is annoying generally, but if it happens when you have limited amounts of battles you can do in a mode, like citadel and guardian and monolith, it’s extremely frustrating.
Definitely. Was in a match yesterday with the gem bottle things (drawing a blank here) that just kept every turn taking forever. Between those bottles and demon portals, both sides had full squads with near max health and no way to whittle anyone down, so just had to quit out. Freakin’ stupid.
Unfortunately, as long as the stats show that people are playing PvP they won’t care what the experience is actually like for the players. I agree with you (and pretty much everyone else it seems) that PvP is a complete farce now. But as long as we all keep slogging through it for the resources we can’t get anywhere else, they’ll take that as us enjoying it and keep thinking that it is “well received”.
Am aware. If you make a lengthy post about how bad it is and they shouldn’t follow greedy companies like niantic but should try to be more how the Monster Hunter team at Capcom is they time you out you from the forums for a few weeks As calling out is harrasment even when based on clear examples. Truth is to hard to handle so better silence people then to do anything with feedback.
Did find out that new members are replied to more often though which was hilarious. Can understand reasons for bad communication but there’s no excuse not to get an actual community manager or the cherry picking to avoid feedback from people that have made negative posts in the past.
