Rope Dart + Reflect = Lethal Damage

I had a GW battle yesterday with hero skull → bullseye to infernal armour vs Wrath. That was 25% but as it was lethal that killed Wrath, it killed hero applying damage.

Wrong thread? This is a doomskull glitch (you weren’t using rope dart, or any armor-stripping weapon, and the Lamashtu doesn’t have reflect)

It’s just an example of Bullseye vs Infernal Armor, which xolid was talking about. It has nothing to do with doomskulls, happens on any Bullseye proc. I didn’t think it needed another thread as it’s been labeled “not a bug” in the past, but it’s still something for people to be aware of. I can delete it if it’s a problem.

What you’ve shown has nothing to do with Reflect (as in status effect that turns portion of both physical and spell damage back at you); it’s just Infernal Armor (that reflects - as in verb reflect some of the skull damage only) in action.

Archer’s ‘Bullseye’ deals sort of infinite amount of skull damage, consequently Infernal Armor turns 25% of infinite amount (that is, unsurprisingly, still infinite) back at you and it is what kills you.
If you have low enough health, Infernal Armor will kill you even without Bullseye triggering, just ordinary skull damage will be enough.
It has always worked this way and, I suppose, always will work this way.

Ah, I didn’t see Xolid’s post, or make the connection. Def something people should be aware of.

(I’m still salty they changed the armor-stripping interaction with reflect. Rope dart remains very difficult to counter, and reflect has little-to-no impact on matches.)

Agreed — it was fun when Reflect was OP.

Hell, I’d even be cool if they tweaked it so that it just reflected the strip, rather than insta-killed.

Oh, you’re going to take all my armor? Have fun sacrificing your own, then, doofus.
