Retreat button disappears on AI turn

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened?
Retreat button to be there. It’s not.

What are the steps to make it happen again?
Trying to retreat while AI is doing its thing.

Look, no retreat button!.

I don’t know if this is intended feature or not, but the retreat button disappears during AI turns. Sometimes the AI goes into Solitaire mode and starts doing its daisy-chains and I just know I can’t win, but the game won’t even let me retreat. I have to choose between watching the AI do its death by thousand cuts manoeuvre, which is sadistic, or exiting the game altogether and relaunching, which ironically is faster.

Simply put, unless it’s your turn, the game won’t let you retreat.

Sad but true lol. This is often how I finish my GoW day. One too many lucky cascades for the AI on its turn means I just hit ‘Quit’ and try again the next day :slight_smile:

Yes and I don’t see why it should be. The available settings options are also different during player turn and AI turn, and I don’t see why that should be too.

It seems likely they updated the UI for one part and forgot about the other.

It was fixed but now it is back

Similar but is it the same? The button completely disappeared in this old bug. The current bug greys out the button.
