What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Ok. First of all, everything is working properly except the visual. I beat the boss for region 1 and triggered the kingdom legends reborn goal trigger to go up a tier. It showed me the special graphic for that, let me collect the reward, then went back to the underspire map. It shows the keystone as collected, and will allow me to explore the next room, but still shows the gate as locked.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
I’m pretty sure this an almost unique set of circumstances. I’ve never seen it happen before.
Steps to make it happen again
I don’t even know if it’s possible to replicate the circumstances in the wild.
Edit: I got out of underspire and re-entered and the gate is now showing as open.
