What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I was trying to change from Chat Channel 002 to 001. I tried three times, thinking it failed every time, because the Channel indicator stayed at 002 (see screenshot). In fact, I believe I changed to Channel 1 successfully the first time. Also in the screenshot, see my question in chat confirming I was in Channel 1.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
First time.
The best option is to restart the game entirely and try it again.
I try to keep the chat window offline and use Discord to compensate.
Yes, I agree that the chat is troublesome with a lot of glitches, like double messages if the chat lobby won’t open after, it will start with 003 or 002 instead of 001 channel. You can also see double messages of other players in such case.
