Ive noticed after using 100 chests it leveled up two of my troops to level 10 giving me a grand total of six troops which should give me the achievement “THE GROWING TIDE” which only states own 5 immortals at level 10.
But didn’t grant me the award

I am running the latest operating system on my Samsung tablet Android.
I find some of the descriptive text for Immortals highly amusing. It must be because I was quite the Lord of the Rings nerd back in the day, but much of that knowledge has passed as I have aged.
Kudos for the achievement, but I will have to wait a much longer time to get that Immortal achievement because I refuse to buy any pvp related content until burning marks let us upgrade Immortals more reliably without any marketing schemes.
No comment yet from the developers about whether or not this is a bug?
Are you not counting the three that we were forced to upgrade on our own? If this is the case then i have many at lvl 9 , a few 10 totalling only 3. Hmmm

So i went and bought 3x burning chests (50) plus 70 on hand, giving me 220. After i opened all 8 burning chests and 2 chests, i couldn’t upgrade any of the immortals to lvl 10. It literally jumped around and lvled everything else to get others more exp?
So I’ll keep this tnread open as i open more burning chests to see if infact the counter does change once i lvl up 5 non featured immortals to get the achievement…
So im tracking 7 troops with 3 that have reached lvl 10,
By tomorrow or Sunday I’ll have an answer for sure

This doesn’t directly help with your problem, but on console, The Growing Tides does work with seasonal Immortals like Glaycia, Raqiyah etc.
Yours should have unlocked if it was working.
Yeah, I have 10 immortals at 10 to 30 and it won’t credit it. Android tablet. I’ve tried looking at them every way I can think of but won’t unlock. Down to this one and the elusive Hoard Mimic, despite several Hoard Mimic chests. 
I bet it’s just tracking the PVP seasonals. More of a “complete 5 seasons” check.
Unfortunately, Android doesn’t show the progress but I can see on my Steam that I have 2/5 counting towards the achievement, and that would be just the two seasonals.
I don’t have the burning desire to open more loot boxes so I’m just slow walking it.
