[Reported] Special gems aren't color gems for some skills

Platform, device version and operating system:
Windows 10 x64

Case 1:

Case 2:

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Case 1:

  1. Activate Daybreak from Quetzalma (get “10 green green gems” in brief memo during this)
  2. Select green butterfly gem.
  3. ONLY green butterfly gems are removed and counted for boost.

Same effect was observed for brown special stones.

Case 2:

  1. Activate Daybreak (11 brown gems, as you see)
  2. Select brown gem.
  3. Everything works as expected.

So, as it works in reverse, it seems like the overlooked problem for me.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Just found it.

Steps to make it happen again

  • Get special gem in battle.
  • Activate special attack of troop which can select such gems for some effect (Quetzalma in my case).
  • Observe results.

It’s relate to my previous report, I suppose. [Reported] Special gems aren't color gems for some skills

Too hard to get
What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
When some troop (The Great Wyrm in my case) produces random skulls, this skulls never replaced existing skulls (it’s would be senseless, obviously). But it doesn’t count +5 skulls. I seen them replaced with common skulls several times.

Thinking about it, most probably the same behavior will be true for special color gems+create color gems skills too.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Noticed it with my Great Wyrm team in connection with special weapon which makes +5 skulls. Probably, will be true in any other combination like this too.
Steps to make it happen again

  • Get The Great Wyrm in the team (better more than one)
  • Make significant amount of +5 gems (many Doom weapons can do that).
  • Observe as they replaced with simple gems when Wyrms activated.

It would be cool if spawned gems would not overwrite any gem with which they can be matched, rather than just identical gems.

It was a heavy nerf to Night Spider when its purple gems were changed to Web gems, since these can replace existing purple gems, making a match much less likely.

Troops that spawn a lot of power gems could get quite a buff if this were ever “fixed”.

Vice versa applies, too – spells that create Doomskulls can overwrite normal Skulls.

This is not even a new issue, it has been in place for years.

Hello

Thank you for the screencaptures and also for clearly showing each case.

I’ve let the development team know about this issue in the meantime, and included your examples within the report!
