[Reported] Softlock on enemy transformation

Platform, device version and operating system:

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Second day in row I have the same problem: it’s enemy turn, but enemy doesn’t move. Additionally, both times I had magic shield, and it pulses twice fast during that.
Both cases have the same traits in common (aside of shield):

  • There is only one enemy troop.
  • My hero has Essense of Evil, and uses it on last enemy.
  • Enemy transformed just at the moment when it’s their turn.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
I hit it first time yesterday. Looked quite a rare case - until I hit it today.

Steps to make it happen again
No idea what exactly is relevant in that case, but I believe, only one enemy and transforming curse may be the key parameters. Last place on battlefield may be important too.

Are you playing on 2x game speed? The visuals for status effects (such as Barrier) animate relative to game speed any time the board is not waiting on your input (aka. during your turn). So we can probably rule it out as a contributing factor to this issue.

If this is specifically related to Transforming a foe, Transform can be tested in isolation via the weapon Dragon’s Eye. However, because you cast Essence of Evil and the opponent is not specifically a Giant Toad then the suspicion falls on the foe having Lycanthropy (which is also easily tested in isolation – but I doubt that is enough for this issue).

I am playing on maximum speed. Ok, it explains the animation. Thank you.

Do you happen to remember what the enemy was prior to transforming? Back when lycanthropy gems got introduced, there used to be an issue with the hero transforming. Maybe this somehow got patched in again.

I don’t remember, unfortunately. I am almost sure it wasn’t a hero, but theoretically speaking, it could be. In my instakill teams I always kill hero as soon as possible, but here it’s a different team… Sorry. I’ll keep eye on it.

Did this happen pretty shortly befor eyou made the post? If you could give me a rough timeframe from the time you created the thread I can go get a little more info from your battle logs.
