The original silver goal was level 14. It has been reduced to 11. Chances are it’s the announcement that’s wrong and that the game is correct. Especially since we know the announcement is wrong. It’s stating the wrong “old” number.
Interesting. Considering the announcement has been wrong for 19 days and it takes all of 10 seconds to edit the forum post and/or 10 minutes tops to edit the parent post, this is even more annoying.
Thanks for clarifying what the original goal was. I’ll have to take your word for it, since it’s not something I would memorize. I trust that you are correct.
Unfortunately, I think most people are going to assume the official announcement is how things should work. Since, that is pretty much the point of official announcements.
In the past, when there has been a discrepancy between player expectations and official announcements, we’ve always been told that those official announcements are considered the single source of truth until revoked. As such, this bug report is entirely valid, the Overlord silver goal is currently requiring an incorrectly high Immortal level that needs to be addressed in some way.
I’ve let the development team know about this issue and I can confirm that the Season of Chaos Overlord Silver Task goal number displayed inside Gems of War is correct.
In this instance the blog is incorrect, due to a small typo.
Any chance someone could maybe edit the blog post? Because, its not really a “small typo” as there is a pretty significant difference between level 8 and level 11 in terms of immortal souls.
