Since the new update, obviously.

Steps to make it happen again
Play during a time when the servers are overloaded, like right after daily reset. Of note, you can pull down the other buttons and then click the pop-up quickly.

This has been ninja-fixed. The icon’s position is now ugly, but at least it is obvious and easier to click.
