What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
Expected the gargoyle gems to be named as they were in the news post: “Good” and “Evil”, but instead found “Good” and “Bad”.
How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Happens first time you encounter one
Steps to make it happen again
Play during the current campaign, and have a gargoyle gem appear.
Cheers, Gary.

Further to this, there are traits that describe them as Evil Gargoyle Gems too.
[TRAIT_EVILEYE_DESC] Create a Evil Gargoyle Gem when matching 4 or more Gems.
[SPELL8801_DESC] Convert 4 Stone Blocks to either Good or Evil Gargoyle Gems. Then explode a Gem.

Yup. I’ve investigated and posted a better wording but didn’t want to update the temporary ‘official’ post.
Both the announcements and the tutorial are wrong/ misleading at best
Good Gargoyle Gems when destroyed/exploded will grant a random positive status effect to each ally (eg. 4 allies could each have a different effect applied)
Evil Gargoyle Gems will grant a random negative status effect to each of the enemies. (eg 4 enemies could each have a different effect applied)

Also worth noting it can’t say 4 different status effects as I’ve had 2 reflect, 1 submerge and 1 enraged in all one go
