[reported] Enchant Wears Off Before it Should

Objection. The capstone says: “+20% cleanse chance to Cleanse at the start of your turn”. Watching the video closely, the enchant effect disappears as control moves from player to the opponent. If this is really related to capstones, it’s not just unlocked capstones triggering, it’s also capstones triggering in phases they shouldn’t, like on enemy turns.

I had Curse All (on the enemy) trigger at the start of my Palace fight…

I just got Battle Hex (Purple node) today..

I don’t have any goblins that could possibly curse.

I’m starting to think I should have looked for any other obscure actions during GW

We found this purple node today is the only one that appeared in GW - I’ll share more info in the other thread

I may have a lead!

While doing today’s Pet Rescue, I noticed Submerged also spontaneously disappearing from enemy Troops (without spellcast, skull damage, etc) and captured video footage of it.

On closer inspection, it seems to correlate with the “auto cleanse” visual effect that is suddenly occurring to Troops that don’t actually have any status ailments. This suggests the bug is not just removing negative Status Effects (as it should), it’s possibly removing ALL status effects (including positives) ?

It doesn’t seem to impact Reflect, Enrage, or Barrier, just the effects that disappear on spellcast.

Are you able to share the video?

Need to offload them from my Switch first but yes I can.

I’ve only captured a few incidents thus far, and I have seen other cases (typically on my team’s side of battle) where the “auto cleanse” effect appears but the status buff stays on (as it should).

For now I’ll post some placeholders:

  • Incident A: opposing Waverider casts (Barrier+Submerge on self). On my turn, I spellcast and hit to break Barrier, but then Submerge was spontaneously removed at the start of next enemy turn.
  • Incident B - video below:
  • Incident C - video below:

In all cases, the buffs get removed at the start of the enemy’s turn, implying that (a) no traits or effects from my side could possibly be relevant, nor (b) any actions taken by the enemy team could be involved either.

it looks like a dispell from a Dove capstone have trigered - do you have it?

At a start of enemy turn instead of your turn

No and no. I haven’t unlocked any Astral Spire perks, and the Dove’s “Expel Blessings” effect is stated to specifically trigger at the start of your turn, not the enemy turn.
