Currently, I am waiting to find out if it’s just that the error logged looks the same as the Wand of Stars/Stellarix not transforming error or if the error is the same and it is actually just for any troop getting or failing to get transformed.
With a public holiday tomorrow, I don’t think I will get any answers in the next couple of days as the issue above has been ongoing prior to 8.9
As force update is releasing today, there was a potential fix for this original issue going out with that (I think!), but waiting to see if that would also resolve this for Pet Gnomes
Might it happen so that the issue has been quietly solved in the background?
I did experience cliffy error last week (while playing normally); just now, to have a screenshot of error message for posting, I did a palooza in PvP and encountered no errors despite numerous Pet Gnomes appearing when pet rescue was already in progress.
If only gnome appeared during active rescue outside of palooza…that would be helpful for more information.
I happened to me just now. Got a pet gnome, triggered a rescue, then did another battle which had 2 gnomes come in, a pet gnome and a treasure gnome. Winning triggered Cliffy.
I have triggered a rescue before and then quickly found another pet gnome with no issue, so it’s not a bug that happens every time.
I was following this up further yesterday, if you get a CLIFFY error from a pvp battle, can you please share the error so we can look into your opponents team build and confirm it’s the same issue
Hi Jeto - I don’t recall seeing a Cliffy Error, but I just got an error message where the pop-up was Restart Game…which it proceeded to do with no input from me. Here are the steps:
PvP battle finding a Pet Gnome (Sir Saxby)
Fought 8 battles to rescue Sir Saxby
Returned to PvP (Southwild Blood Frenzy)
In first battle another Pet Gnome appeared.
I won the battle and was expecting ‘2 White Petfood’, but before it reaches the reward screen, the ‘Restart Game’ error occurred.
Hope this helps to identify the issue. I will keep an eye out to see if there is any cliffy identifier next time.
Update. I got a 2nd pet gnome while Sir Saxby was still active, and I got the expected ‘2 white petfood’ screen.
I’m beginning to think the problem happens due to using the pet rescue pop up notification to jump from PvP directly to the pet rescue. After the rescue, you automatically return to PvP and get CLIFFY when you do another battle.
Closing the rescue pop up and manually returning to the Krystara map and entering rescue via the Game menu caused no error for me on returning to PvP.
