I cannot erase the Guild announcement due to “Invalid Guild Rank”

I have been Guild Mistress rank for MANY years !

“Mistress” is an old English term that originated from the Anglo-Norman and Middle French word maistresse, meaning “master”. In its early usage (14th century), it referred to a woman in a position of authority, similar to “master”. The title was also used respectfully for a woman of high social standing and evolved to become the origin of modern titles like Mrs., Miss, and Ms..

Same here. I renamed all ranks because we had ranks like Mítico, Lendário, Épico and í, á, É was the problem

I had to change my rank from “ambassador” to “ambuttador” for the time being because it contained profanity apparently.

I’m closing this thread as it is going off topic. It is just a bug that the filter is now applying where it hasn’t before, and picking up new words it hasn’t previously. The team is investigating. I’ll reopen once I have any update.

An update as to how this has happened..

The Guild names and ranks were not using the same updated filtered list that global chat uses, has been updated a few times over the years. Which is why now, since it was updated in 8.9 along with the new Guild name change addition, things are being blocked that weren’t before.

It will take some time to go through and resolve it for everyone, as we will need to manually grab words and exclude them from the list.

We are going to to revert the filter for now, and then work on updating the list in the background before reupdating again
