There also another game with that name that came out in the 1990s if memory serves.

No way!!! Truxton is far better than Truxton 2! Especially if you consider there is 5 years between the 2 games (1988 and 1993) !!! A game like Truxton 2 was normal in 93 but Truxton was years ahead of his time for a game of 88! And yes the lvl 1 music of arcade version is the best!
