Can someone please explain to me why my Boss Level is higher than the person ahead of me who has higher damage dealt?
Have you included the new troop Triton Guard Mera in your team for all battles? Using that troop, the âevent captainâ for this event, doubles your score for each battle.
The person ahead of you may have lost some battles. If you lose, you get some score, but donât progress to the next higher level boss, meaning your score can get higher than someone who progressed further (at the cost of more sigils).
Well, that answers it. The journey/bounty system, that you need to bring a new troop (or in case of tower weapon) along to increase your points, has been expanded to all events with the 7-1 update two months ago.

7.0 introduced changes where Raid and Invasion events get double points if you include the event captain in your team (the captain is the troop in the event shop that week, like Bounty). For Tower of Doom, you get double points for using the new doomed weapon.
You should also use the Pathfinder troop in the shop for Journey events. Thatâs not new, but itâs a similar concept.
For Journey events, the Pathfinder troop needs to be fully traited for the score boost. [update: and fully ascended for the full boost (with thanks to Capain Awesome)]. The event captains for Raid and Invasion do not need to be traited to get the double score.
For Tower of Doom, it is sufficient just to use the new weapon for boss battles to get double dooms. But if you donât use it all the time, itâs easy to forget to switch.
Hello, devs, how about to setup the same thing as with âMedalsâ right now telling player about âYou have to have Captain / Doom Weapon to score like a real playerâ ? Or itâs still âthey will figure it outâ way of getting playerâs hate for free?
You can receive medals from guild rewards.
You can not receive event troops and weapons that way.
Including such a message is a direct way of telling (especially newer) players âGive us gems, or you are screwedâ.
I mean, that is how the system is running anyway, but do we really need to spell it out?
it also doesnt give you that message if you dont already have a medal, so yea, it would be pretty good, ive had multiple guildmates have the âoh crapâ moment, noticing how far behind they are on score late in the week. It is currently not communicated to the players in any meaningful way, when it affects an entire guild.
Honestly it should just be a popup before your first battle in any given event that says âhey if you get this troop/weapon from the store, you will earn double points for your guild!â maybe have a link that brings you to the event shop tab and one to dismiss.
I find the section about event captains in the opening screen of events prominent enough to stand out. I assume, the players who are troubled by this are mostly veterans, who are used to simply skipping that screen. But thereâs a good chance, that those, who donât pay attention to this layout change, would skip a popup message too.
It is a painful mistake, a quarter of the veteran players will make once and then never again, while new players wonât run the risk at all.
Judging by how most changes here break something, I would not push development towards this issue.

Something simple like swapping the boss/kingdom tile with the Event Captain one would be more noticeable/useful
I also think that the way they notify you if youâre about to do an event without your medal equipped, they could do that for these events.

I like how Bounty shows the score multiplier in the center column as I adjust my team. Iâd like to see that expanded to modes that give 2x for including the event captain, as well as the Guild Wars bonus per troop with the dayâs color.
Also, please automatically add the event captain to the initial team. This would serve as a reminder to purchase and include it, and allow players to do only 3 searches instead of 4.
