Where are they, this is the final week in the cycle and not once has one appeared. i suggest adding them to event chests
I am not sure they would be in the cycle as weren’t they released after the cycle started so had to wait for the upcoming one for them to be reflected same as any normal mythic
so your saying that we may never have a full set of troops again. since the cycle take half a millennia now. and a new one releases every 10 weeks.
new cycle started today, all should be in this cycle except Reavnarokkr
Lots of gacha games are predatory on their player base by leaning into FOMO to get them to spend. F2P players – such as myself – have never been able to assemble the full set of troops because there has always been stuff that has been blocked by paywalls.
Perhaps in some distant future, I’ll get all my kingdoms to Power Level 30 and no longer require my Gold Marks to purchase Books of Deeds. At which point I can probably come up with enough Gold Marks over the course of a long season to buy the seasonal PvP mythic before it rotates out.
That won’t address how I have to wait for campaign mythics (and Tarots), how I’m missing virtually every campaign pe(s)t, et cetera. But it would be a (small) step in the right direction.
Is there ANY way to remind the devs thet they should add pvp mythics to the rotation bext week?
Didn’t they say something like the PVP mythic would go into soulforge rotation 1 year after the end of the PVP Season? It was something crazy like that. And it would also mean not all the PVP mythics yet.
@Jeto i have looked over the posts regarding kukulkan when it was introduced, there is no specific time frame for it entering the SF, i just assumed once the season was over it would enter the cycle.
Could you clarify how long the waiting period is for this and also if it possible to put them into chests. Otherwise these mythics are going to take forever and a day to obtain.
How it has been explained to me is..
These new troops get added to the Soulforge pool automatically, after the pool refreshes - this is to prevent them being added and accidentally appearing in Chests.
I do not have any eta on when this current pool is going to refresh to allow new troops to appear.
Which, is frustrating of course, as you are all trying to keep an eye on the Soulforge for when they are going to appear, and I want to know so I can pass that information on.
I have asked to be notified when that pool refreshes, and for it to be mentioned in whichever blog is most suitable at the time (likely a Sunday blog?).. but as it is automatic, there isn’t an alert or anything that pings when they go in, so it would require me or the team manually checking.
That is everything I can answer, or have an answer for. Sorry I don’t have anything more specific.
Thank you - this is more than we knew before and it’s nice to get updates along the way to an answer.
Thank you. That is the information i was looking for.
I would like to know how they came up with the scandalous figure of 2500 gold marks. If it was silver id think yeah ok, but gold marks? Its ridiculously expensive and an outright disgrace
2500 Gold Marks is in the neighborhood of what a player will accumulate over the course of an entire “season”, assuming s/he clears all 20 “gates” weekly, clears a Guardian battle on all five available days each week, and clears all 10 “bonus Gold Mark” regions when those are available the day following them being available for Guardian battles. All without needing to earn bonuses for Top 3 on the bracket leaderboards, too.
Mind you, the figure was likely plucked from thin air by a developer team that doesn’t play this game and doesn’t plan ahead very well. But that’s the way the math works, because a player who does all that I’ve described in the previous paragraph can typically earn enough Gold Marks to purchase 2-3 Books of Deeds every week.
(I know I do.)
Yes it books all day long for me. Not like i can get all the troops anyway ( looking at you sentinels ). The 2500 gold marks for any of the pvp mythics so far is outrageous
The “gold mark pricing” of mythics in the pvp shop was done with little player feedback or consideration. At most, it should have been 1,000 gold marks, and even that is a bit of a stretch.
I don’t think they’re ever going to change the cost of mythics in the pvp shop. They honestly should be for silver marks, along with every pet, but it’s just not going to happen.
In my mind, the gold mark pets should be 500 silver marks and the gold mark mythic should be 5,000 silver marks. It’s realistic and makes sense, but that’s why it will never be changed.
Couldn’t this be handled the other way around, whenever a new mythic troop gets added to chests it also gets added to the ongoing Soulforge pool? We are approaching the point where new mythic troops can take close to a year before showing up, legendary troops even longer. The steadily increasing cycle length has been feedback topic for years now, with some response every once in a while that it would be addressed, nothing ever came of it though.
I agree with you, but the developer counter-argument could be thus: Silver Marks can be farmed infinitely, relatively quickly and easily; therefore putting such high-value purchases such as the seasonal Mythic won’t be made available for those. Because it would be all too easy for players to accumulate that resource with a (relative) minimum of effort and especially to stockpile the necessary resources ahead of time.
On the other hand, farming the necessary quantity of Gold Marks is something that either requires real-money purchases or a concerted effort every single day over a healthy length of time and therefore fulfills the developer preference for engagement and/or sales.
Rather than focus on the price tag, I’d be inclined to try and nudge the Powers That Be off the position that they’ll only be available through the Soulforge after their season ends. Or if they can’t be budged from that, the length of the Soulforge rotation has to be addressed because it simply takes too (darned) long to get through.
As a F2P player, I’m okay with “time gates” on a number of things. But the “time” part has to be a reasonable figure.
Apparently they can ad hoc add mythics to the forge so why not increase weekly mythics to 16 or something? I know they won’t do it because it actually makes sense.
I don’t know when the first mythic cycle started but back then there were probably only 30 mythics in total so 4 was a reasonable number.
Here’s the fact–The season of ice began on July 22…of last year, and we are still waiting for Kukulkan in the soulforge.
We joked about not seeing that troop until next summer at that time, but now, that’s looking like reality. With 11 planned pvp seasons, we are going to have to wait a long, long time to get these “Pvp Trophy Troops” if we don’t buy them. And most won’t because it takes away 25 deed books worth of kingdom progress. (I know they are “random,” but it’s one of the only ways we can get extra deed books).
The gold mark cost has to be adjusted. Plain and simple. I still stand by my suggestion of 1,000 gold marks for the pvp shop mythic to not make it so overpriced.
