doesnt matter, play for minimum req for golden bonuses, those 5 wont worth it if you have a life

PVP made it to the top of least favorite in 2 categories so I think it’s obvious the community is unhappy. The devs just don’t care. It’s placement as least favorite wasn’t even acknowledged in the survey discussion

I think that the devs have zero respect for our feedback and time. I will treat next seasons pvp with the contempt it deserves. Gold marks only

There’s a particular sub-class of player who enjoys the game mode and appreciates having a lengthy task to pursue. And that’s who the developers are aiming at with that particular challenge and reward. They’re aiming different things at different groups of players.
I finally made it to 176k this morning – that’s the necessary figure to clear all of the “free” rewards. That’s all I intend to do next season, as well. Even so, that’s more fighting than the “minimum”, whether that “minimum” is “minimum necessary for all Gold Marks” or even the minimum necessary to clear certain reward benchmarks such as the challenge tracks for Monoliths, Guardians, et cetera. (It takes a little bit of extra fighting to get Valhawks on a couple of days.) Or the weeks when I’ve dropped to Ruby League and therefore pursue a Top Three ranking within my bracket.

Ok I get to about 350k a season.
Obviously all but 1 reward, I’m not going to push myself, PvP rewards aren’t worth it.
But for every complaint on here, there’s someone doing over 100k every week in PvP.
So we should be honest with ourselves, we’re obviously a minority.
People in the top ten every week are the same people, they’ve had the rewards weeks, but there still grinding.
So unless that stops, PvP will never change, I’m only pointing out truths. Don’t kill me

That’s kinda the exact opposite of being the minority. The majority of players aren’t hitting remotely near that 100k threshold you’re pointing at. In fact, the leaderboard shows exactly where (only) the top 100 of that platform is landing every week. 
There’s definitely opportunities available to reward heavy time spenders, but resetting the daily login bonuses and setting the last soul reward at 560k isn’t it. Would rather have a system like the level ups where you get 1 event key every level up, so something like every 50,000 VP from 200,000 VP onwards, gain 10 Burning Marks.

Yes but top 100.
I haven’t looked but I’m guessing place 100 is above 60k.
And I pulled 100k out the air, sometimes it’s 250k.
So if top 100 are getting above 60k every week.
If you add up all those numbers for the top 100 players.
Then add up all the amounts for the next 900 players.
We’re still the minority, on total PvP battles fought.
I’m using basic maths, you could be right.
It’s just an opinion, but try adding up the top 100 scores today, then divide by 7 days, and see that average.
I am only doing the bare minimum to get to the last free reward, which 176K VP. Anything past that is pointless and offers no benefit.

On the first day I had about 2,400 vp and then I stopped to play a different game. My goal is basically to get 16,000 a week so that by the end of season, I hit 176,000.

I don’t even do the bare minimum to get 150K to be able to buy the shop Legendary, much less 176K for the season rewards. I do all the alliance battles, complete weekly goals and complete the season quests (which are easier now).
I’m definitely one that listed PVP as my least favorite game mode. It easily overtakes the new Guild Wars, because I can at least easily get the rewards from GW with minimal time investment. I have more respect for my own personal time that I’m not going to grind out PVP for worthless rewards. If I’m going to spend time grinding in GoW, I’d rather spend it on Explore for medals. However, I’d rather just play other fun games than grind.
