Spells that scale by enemy stats are never not fun in high-level cpu battles. Feels like a decent check against Mang and similar teams. (Sure, the scaling is only 4:1 – Tigraki and Rakshanin have better ratios – but still.)
Doomed Dart-Thrower isn’t exploding 3 red gems when you attack an enemy with red mana, fyi.

You’d want to be more specific than such broad sweeping statements that can be misleading.

Cast, enemy stays alive, explodes gems;
Cast, enemy dies, no explosion.
