Please confirm Bane of Ambition is in event key drop table this week

Platform, device version and operating system: iPad iOS latest

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I opened 10k event keys, received 10 mythics, but no Bane of Ambition. There is only a 1.7% chance of this happening, which makes me doubt it’s in the drop table.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
I don’t intend to spend any more event keys so this is a one time occurence.

Steps to make it happen again
Open more event keys.

Thanks. Just abysmal luck then.

Yeah. In a lot of cases, it’s just bad RNG. This doesn’t mean all Mythics can be obtained with event keys, necessarily, so the question is fully justified and it helps to have the screenshot as evidence.

It definitely reminds me of how I experienced abysmal luck trying to get my second copy of Takshaka. Twice. This was a case where I knew Takshaka was in the drop pool with event keys and I just kept getting unlucky. I pulled the other Mythics from the kingdom no problem. Both times.

Mythics should cap at 4 each, just like the troops from vault keys. Now, you need thousands of event keys to get the mythic that you want because there are 4+ mythics in each kingdom now. (And that’s not even mentioning the PvP shop mythics, which just make it confusing).

I feel your pain with Mist of Scales and kept getting Medusa and Mambasara, when I needed a 2nd Takshaka.:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the only troops that stop appearing from keys at “Mythic x 4” the Guild Guardians from Guild Keys?

I know this means that there is code written that allows for this to happen, and that there is a precedent for capping troops in this way. But it’s also a precedent that applies in one relatively narrow scenario to a very small group of troops and not to large classes of troops in a broader perspective.

Would it be more “player-friendly” if these caps were introduced more widely, such as for the crafting of Dragonite Eggs? Sure. But it probably goes against the sorts of things that the developers prefer, not to mention the underlying mechanics of the “gacha” game. And I also wonder how clumsy/buggy the code for doing so might be if the attempt were made to apply it to broader situations and larger pools, even one as limited as Event Keys.

For example, what would happen if you have everything in a given kingdom at “Mythic x 4” and then attempted to use Event Keys under that scenario? Does the game go “ha ha, you sucker” and give you stuff you already have maxxed? Do the keys vanish into the ether without benefit? Does everything crash when there’s nothing in the pool to pull?

They’d probably give souls instead then. As much as I would like to see a general cap of 4 on every single troop in the game, I really doubt we’ll ever see that. Unfortunately.

the floral eggs need capped at 4 , IV 20 dragons still no brown.

And losing love for the game.

Ps . I will add, this is the 1st campaign out of the last 13 that I haven’t bought, my reason is. Is that if I’m going to fall so far behind on getting Chyrsanthirax.

Then why bother getting the vault troops or Mythics as the come out , the only troops I needed was gold mark PvP Mythics, but because the floral eggs have took all the want , out of me.

IV stopped buying the campaign, IV also bought all kingdom passes and all PvP campaigns.

I won’t be buying anything, until I get Chyrsanthirax.

IV saved 60k diamonds and 20k of each key as well as 500000 seals. If they bring out any more eggs, after 5 years of playing I’m out.

And Jeto, my tag is in my account, you can look and see IV bought everything for the last 3 years, campaigns, kingdom passes, Tuesday pets.

And you’ll see, I stopped at this campaign.

The floral eggs, are doing my brain in.

Yeah, that’s the problem. We would have to get “something.” Maybe then, the game would give you another resource instead (gems maybe?). Or maybe, there could be a message saying, “You have already obtained 4 copies of each mythic from this kingdom, are you sure you want to proceed?”

Then, players would know that they would get more than 4 copies of a mythic and know that they are “wasting” their resources. I don’t know if or when this QOL change will happen, but it would help make event keys more valuable.
