Pets: Rare gaining bug

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened
Instead one pet (I don’t remember which) I got Moon Moon.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Was only once, but seems like possibly recurring issue.

Steps to make it happen again

1. I finished 5 battles, but as I seen, there is no chance to get pet - 1 minutes to the end.
2. I bought rewards up to the pet.
3. Instead expected pet I got “Event time is expired”. After pressing “Ok”, I still got the pet - but it was Moon Moon instead one I hunted!

Is Moon Moon the previous event? Are both event trigger in the game without you restarting the game?

I’m on Android. I played Brown Pet Rescue event and got the pet on Basket 5, then forgot and left the game open.

Hour and a half later, I checked in again, and saw that another event, Green Pet Rescue, was activated, but only 1 minute left. So I rushed to spend 175 gems to get new pet, but got the pet from previous event instead of current one. Basket reward was changed to Green Jewel, yet the pet from Tier 3 was still the same Brown one.

I have no idea what previous event was. I started client and appeared in ten minutes before event end.

Buying shop baskets as the pet event expires gives wrong pet. Not surprised that’s buggy.
