To elaborate: There’s a set of traits (‘Omen of …’) that explode a gem at the start of a battle. The mana and status effects (like Lycanthropy) from those explosions are sometimes attributed to the wrong team.
This bug has been reported in the past but as far as I know has not been acknowledged or forwarded to the programmers.
