Guardian Of The Fields has PROUD STANCE ability that states “Barrier all allies below them”. (Love this ability). I place this troop on top.
The issue is when this troop is knocked out of place and Proud Stance is used the spell goes to all other troops regardless of the position if the Guardian Of The Fields. It is like when it is knocked down it does not refresh where it now lies in the troop order.
I don’t mind that is not functioning as described BUT the effect needs to match the description.
I cannot tell you if the Guardian needs to be “Charged up” or not prior to its being knocked out of place but that should be easy to test.
Give [Magic + 3] Armor to an Ally, Barrier all Allies below them.
The position of the Guardian of the Fields ought to be irrelevant. Just a question of which troop you target with the spell to get that Armor boost, and which troops (if any) get a Barrier as a secondary effect of the spell.
Mind you, I’m not 100% certain about this because I’ve never played with the troop in question and I don’t have much recall of how that spell has worked when I’m doing Explore in that particular region. But your question/aggravation suggests to me that you’ve interpreted the spell as “Give Armor to myself and Barrier what’s below me”. Which would be incorrect.
I ran a number of tests in E4 of wild plains where gorgon will reliably knock the troop to the back.
Variation 1: proud stance cast before and after knock-back.
Variation 2: proud stance ready to cast (ie mana filled) when being knocked back.
Variation 3: once knocked back cast on positions 1,2,3 and 4.
In all of the above variations, it worked correctly in that Armour is applied to the selected ally, and then the troops below it (if any) received barriers.
