New Soulforge Weapon: The Ruby Macaque

Oh! I thought it was just the campaign pass, $10.

Crafting cost is 200 gems, 1M souls, 3 celestial, so the same as Dawnstar/Duskbringer.

Is the crafting cost of the materials needed to craft the materials for the new weapon known yet? If that makes sense lol

Great weapon, crafted it already.

Gonna play around with it, thinking 2x Beetrix + Sycorax would be fun.

Thanks for the reminder…

Odd that devs did not mention that this weapon would be available in the current campaign when it started?

Announcing it 5 days before the campaign ends seems like a missed opportunity?

its actually genius from a sales point of view.
the pass ends as soon as the devs get back of holiday. people will have the fear of missing a good weapon and will buy the pass to get the weapon.

Red rocket not necessary. Troops do same thing already but better. Dont fomo into buying it. If you already bought thank you very much but your opinion is skewed

Huh? Why?

You can buy something and still be objective about it. It’s a very nice weapon but everyone has to decide for themselves if it’s worth to them to buy it.

Nice weapon is an understatement.

Decently good weapon for explore. I like it!

now a point i have just thought. will this now be a part of every campaign? (i hope it is) if it is watch all the F2P get their backs up about that too.

No, you will see the player base drop. It’s not a good play to put in a weapon that can take over 1 year to get for the majority of players. It’s pay to win tactic that is taking advantage of many people that have FOMO fear. At some point it will be illegal. Mind tactics are already being outlawed. Give it time.

Beg: I think, when it comes to monetary strategies, that are under risk to get outlawed, “pay to get things quicker” is on the bottom end of the scale.
Game parts, that are temporarily paid-exclusive, are (very) annoying, even more from a completionist view than from a competitive one (and have been so since this mess started with campaigns). But they do not cause a persistent harm, neither ingame, nor financially or psychologically.

Compare this to the numerous gacha slot machines, the rest of the game is built around, and you are looking at a lesser evil, that may remain, even when the laws are getting tightened.

(and this is coming from a player, who is still massively miffed, that he came within 12 hours of owning all troops, just to have it pulled away forever)

The campaigns used to be a 2 - 3 month wait. Its a pain, but not too bad. But this is clearly going way beyond it. It could be 1.5 years. It all depends on the cycles and some Kingdoms have been skipped because a new one took its spot. I know because I waited for a specific kingdom that long to get my last book.

We had this before with Duskbringer. I don’t think they’ll do it every campaign now, but they’re going to do it once in awhile for sure.

It especially sucks for those not having a pass that we just had those kingdoms, and that there’s not a rotation in order. Some kingdoms might not come around again for years.

If that wasn’t the case it wouldn’t be so bad.

I wish there was a gem cost option for season/campaign passes. Many games offer that.

Sadly not a chance, that means the income would be halved or even worse. Too many gem rich players in this game.
