I think this has something to with their being fairly high level, and so they will show up on GL searches. I accept them when I see them, because it’s the only way I know of to ID the GL and message her/him to ask why I was invited. When I say “I’m not looking for a guild for this character right now”, I am immediately kicked, making me wonder, what is the point. One GL has invited one of my idle Steam characters THREE times now and turned around and kicked me all three times, each after only 1-2 days.
I consider this behavior to be abusive, and I wish there was a remedy. My preference: If I get a GL invite and accept it, the guild can’t kick me for at least 30 days. The mindset should be invite = trial, and as a player I should get a fair chance to assess if this guild might suit my play style.
